Surgery Date!!
Hi all, just arrived home, and wanted to let you all know my surgery will be scheduled for May 8, 2008! I was really excited, but when I told Hubby he was kinda ho hum about it. I asked what was up and he said he was just nervous. I guess i understand, but I feel soo hopeful about this and anything even remotely negative kinda takes the wind out of my sails. Maybe I shouldn't be so sensative. I called my Mom to tell her and she was the SAME WAY. So, I'm telling all of you guys, as I hope, being in the same shoes, you'll rejoice with me!!! Thanks Keela

Yay keela!!! That isn't too long to wait, you will be on the losers bench with me soon!!! just home today. My DH educated himself completely and it really made a difference, he said, leave stuff out for yours.Yah hoo!!!
It was magic when she realized who she had become...

Keela, sounds like it time to sit that fella down and have a "I need support talk" tell him to come here and we'll educate him. You need his support on a daily basis and not to scare you but it is very common, from what i've seen on OH. I really believe although we all sit here and say we need the support, I think it is as important for them to get it back. If they are insecure about themselves they are probably scared that when you get all slim you won't want him. so My opinion is to make sure you clerify that with him and make him feel safe. sorry if i've said too much. JMO We are here for you. but want you to be support all the way around. keep your chin up, it will only get better from here. HONKKKKK's be with you !!! Cheryl
Keela!!!! Congrats!!
It seems like forever, but it will fly by!!!! Getting that date is an awesome feeling!!!! You've worked hard for this! Keep it up! You know we'll be here for you!
My hubby was a little the same way when I first told him...he was kinda "hohum!" But it is a big deal and as it gets closer, my DH, at least, has jumped on board with this and is getting excited along with me! He knows I've wanted this for a long time and that I've been working hard to get to where I am. Your excitement will hopefully catch on with him!!! Sending honks your way!!! Congrats again!!!

that is great news keela. i remember hanging the phone up after chatting with crystal and screamed with joy. we all know exactly how you feel and we want everyone around us to feel the same joy. your dh will come around. i'm sure he's very worried something might happen to you. once you get thru surgery and he see's you are fine he'll be much more supportive. just involve him as much as you can in the process. go for walks together, excercise together... anyway. that is awesome and we'll be here cheering you on on the 8th!
