Ok, I sat myself down this morning and asked myself a few questions.  yes, I believed, I was doing what was expected of me. (almost)  did I measure things?  NO.... Did I drink my water? yes... and more.... Did I sometimes add a little extra something something and not count it?  Yes...Did I exercise like I should? No.... did I stop caffine? yes  DId I stop drinking soda? yes  Did I stop drinking Alcohol?  Almost... (don't count)  I always managed to sneak in a few beers a week, (counted the calories tho)  BUT...so!! today I sit here infront of all my friends and confess... Please, don't be too hard on me.  Today I am being my best friend and being honest and real....Plus, dropping a few hundred calories.  and exercised twice already, will do another 15 tonight...  I see all you girls doing so well and giving this 100% so what is my excuse?  If there is anyone out there having a little problem, try being honest with yourself, and come and confess (I don't want to be the only one) and I promise I for  one will forgive you and we can begin a new day.  Cheryl

Sounds like you have been hard enough on yourself. I am glad you sat down and figured out what was going on with your weight loss. I just think about it this way I am not on a diet I am just eating differently. You are on your way Cheryl Honk honk.

Cheryl, don't be so hard on yourself and no one here is going to be hard on you either.  We are here to support each other.  We are all human... Congratulations on trying to take control and being honest with yourself.  You are doing great and will do even better with the few changes you are going to make.  Stay strong. I emailed Kate last week and told her that I needed to get my tushy back exercising regularly.  I have not kept a routine for 4 months now and I am starting to notice a change in my rear-end and thighs.  The scale is still holding but I bet if I did some measuring there would be a change and not for the good.  So that is my confession.  So see we are all human.  If you promise to give 100% of what you want to change, then I will give 100% to get in exercise at least 4 days a week.  Deal????
Hugs,
Ronda

Be careful when you have your "last" dinner.  In our support groups we were told that some lapbanders (because they dont have a 2 week liquid diet) have really messed up their blood labs just before surgery (discoved on the day of surgery) so the surgery had to be postponed.  you may want to have your last a few more days out then you would originally think.  With Dr Trieu the rny people do not have to worry about this because of the two weeks liquid. Not telling you what to do just warning that you may want to be careful. Peggy P.S. I had a prime rib, baked potatoe and salad for my last dinner.

Peggy, with Loggins we all only have 2 days liquid diets, even RNY patients.  but boy that steak and baked potato sound really good right about now. hehe

cheryl, it's not that bad. you won't have a choice after surgery but to be good. sounds like you've got a good handle on it so just keep going with that. i would try to cut the alcohol completely and keep up with the exercise. just think...10 beers equals 1500 calories! YIKES.

keep on truckin'

LIsa, I am working on that,  I have done sooo well, but not Well enough.  Even my friends and family  are all saying, you having water?? wow? The Red Sox games next week will be tough.  but like you said after surgery  I won't have a choice.  The second trip we are taking will be 2 weeks after wls, so that will be much easier.  this is my last hurra !!  BUt I made Ronda a deal, so I"ll stick to it.  Its funny, I was making supper and I was ready to take a bite, just out of habbit and I said "OHHH, now see how you do that"???? I need to be honest....

Cheryl, Im so glad we have eachother to help support us when were down. Good for you for sitting down and evaluating where you are. I too have started to let sweets creep back in...and need to maintain my current weight for surgery... being honest is the first step to recognizing you need to make a change....thats what were all doing...and once we have the surgery it will help us that much more! Thank you for helping us..through your sharing!! I am definatley going to start walking...I started last night, and could only make it 15 minutes....when your so heavy and out of shape it hurts! So like you...I have to be gentle with myself and take baby steps....it will get better Melissa
