Can't upload for a new avitar

Hi all, ok when it comes to computer stuff I consider myself pretty savy, but for some reason i can't upload any of my pictures to replace the avatar (?head) .  It keeps telling me the size it too big.  I don't have that many recent pictures of myself and I'd like you all to have a face with my name.  Can anyone help me figure out how to possibly shrink a picture to upload it?!  I know this is not a WLS question, sorry, Keela

Hi Keela, I ended up using photobucket to resize my av photo.  It's irritating they have to be so small, but whatever it takes. Photobucket is really easy to use.  Hope this helps.     Ruth

What is photobucket?  I finally have a pic of me to upload and I am not sure how to.

It is easier to locate your picture on your computer files and save it on yur desk top. Then go on user settings, upload picture. Put that desk top info in when you find it and upload. Hope that helps.
