My Doctor Changed her mind

Chelley
is the rny an option for you? you must be so frustrated. talk to her and see what your options are. if you do go with the rny you will be surprised how much weight you will lose in your breasts. you may not need the reduction or less of a reduction. i've already gone down a size in 6 weeks. hang in there. don't give up.
Chelly,
You must be so frustated and it is hard when you are trying to take control of your weight to hit these roadblocks.
I suggest talking to the doctor again and asking to work with a nutritionist and or counselor. Being a food addict myself I do know the importance of working on food issues before surgery. Having a weight loss procedure does not cure the food demons and is not a magical procedure. You need to work hard to eat properly, take your vitamins and exercise. You can eat your way thru it. This may not be what you wanted to hear but it is reality. These weight loss procedures are a great tool to aid in weightloss but it is up to us to use the tool properly.
If this something you truly want, you need to work with your doctor to show her you are ready mentally, emotionally and physically. If you feel she is not taking you seriously and won't work with I would suggest looking into another WLS program.
I wish you the best of luck. Take care.
