I've had my 18month old nephew for the past 3 nights and all day today.  I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 year old.  Makes my nice little family WAY TOO BIG!!  Oh my gosh now I am really glad I had my tubes tied when I had my daughter.  3 kids is a handfull I don't want to deal with on a daily basis.  I've gained a whole new respect for my younger sister-in-law who has 3 kids and I know my brother isn't as big a help as my husband.  However, DH has been at work for the past 2 nights so I was solo with 3...AUGHHHHHHHHHH I need a nice  and some major .

WOW!!  Been there, done that!  Don't wanna go back!  haha!  When my youngest was born, the other two were 2 1/2 and 4! (My ex was less than helpful too!)  I feel your pain!  Glad it's only for a few days!  Isn't it nice when they go home!    Good luck and rest up after this!!!!

haha, steph, we have all volunteered for something and were sorry we did later.  I guess that is what they mean when they say, you learn from your mistakes.  I went as a shaperone, on a bus, full of active kids, for a sectional swim competition. we drove from portland to Buffalo NY, I thought I was gonna die, the two girls who sat behind me were playing Patty cake games ... I swear I was dreaming about "Miss SUzy had a ........" for months to come.  That being said, it was the last time I volunteered to be a shaperone.

It sure does open our eyes to others lives.  When I was in college (where I did very well all A's except 2 B's) for 1 week I took care of a two year old.  After that experience I decided the single mother that got C's had more right to be proud than I did of my A's.  I still feel that way today.
