pureed stage
tanya gave me a great recipe for pastaless lassagna. i measured out about 2 oz. total:
ricotta cheese
barilla spag. sauce
parm. cheese
mozz. cheese
choose low fat cheese where you can and the barilla sauce is low in sugar. it's very yummy. satisfies that italian food craving.

i know in the dietary book corinne gave us there are the 5 stages but that's geared toward rny. i'm not sure if you get a different book for being banded. i'm sure you still need to be gentle with your new stomach as it will be swollen and sore for a bit. i have a friend i work with and she can eat anything. she pissed me off at easter eating a bunch of chocolate. i'm like wth... we had this surgery for a reason. i myself have not touched chocolate. but i wanted to...
I totally ate string cheese on that stage. I thought it was allowed. I had no problem at all with it. Here is a PERFECT snack for you to bring and no one will think anything of it. They have this brand of cheese called the laughing cow. It is a plastic round container and there are like 6 wedges in there. Get the light kind. I LOVE the garlic and herb. It is soft almost like cream cheese...but not. They used to serve it on airplanes actually. Anyways, there are like 35 calories and 2.5 gr of protein in each tiny wedge. They have different flasvors. They sell it at Shaws, walmart, BJ's. This would be perfect for you to take with you in the limo.
I ate crab too that stage....I know Lisa had trouble with it....it was a life saver for me and I ate it ALL the time. Mixed with light mayo of course.
