I never did find any just kind of went without anything at all for pain. I have almost all of the Vicatin in my closet lol took half a dose just for 2 nights. Was not thrilled with the horrific dreams it was giving me. Ask your local pharmacist if they can get it for you.

I am not sure.  I have never really had any problems swallowing pills.

Me either Kathi but Dr Loggins specifically says all meds need to be chewable crushable or liquid for the first 2 weeks after surgery.

but doesn't he prescribe painkillers after surgery?  Are they in liquid?  It is amazing how surgeons differ.   I was able to take all my pill meds, they even gave them to me in the hospital.

i found i could take tylenol in pill form at 2 weeks out. otherwise i used what dr. loggins prescribed for me. i did use one dose of the liquid tylenol and i was afraid of dumping but i didn't. i still have nearly a whole bottle. figure my son can take it when he needs to.

i found i took a half dose of the pain meds dr. loggins sent home sometimes. sometimes i was uncomfortable but not down right in pain so justified with a half dose.

I just asked on the Lap Band site about sugar being a problem with the band and they said no, but,,, they also suggested after I get my fills, I will need the liquid for a few days, so I will be able to use it after the wls.  so that was good knowing I won't just buy it for nothing.
