2 weeks afer my wls we will be going to see The Sox "Again",... this is a regular routine for us, well, more for my guys, I could care less.  but anyway.  I will be in a limo with 7 other people, 2 of which I don't want them to know about my WLS.  So, I usually pack lobster rolls, and snacks to bring with us.  NOw, the problem.  I need to be very discreet about what I eat and drink.  They will notice me not drinking beer and drinking water instead and eating applesauce (Just an example) which will be noticeable.  I'm sure she will say, WHAT the Hell is going on with you?? so, can you suggest, other then water, and protein drinks made in a special cup, so she will think I've got a mixed drink.  maybe one of those soup in a cup things?? will I be able to have that??she won't notice me not eating just will notice me eating something weird...(for the limo that is)...

I would say just stick to the fluids in the limo. Not sure what to tall you about the rest of the day though. At that point I bet your down in weight a bit and may have questions asked. I suppose you could just say you have decided to take control of your health.

2 weeks out will be the pureed stage. i had pudding, applesauce, scrambled egg, (careful with mayo), egg salad, ham salad, protein shakes, etc. you can disquise them in different bottles. get a beer bottle and dump it and pu****er in it. too bad you have to be so secretive. you can have soup broth but not pasta or veggies unless pureed. i'm sure as witty as you are you will figure a good way out.

she knows i'm on a diet now, she will just be very surprised i'm sticking to it then, this is a big fun party we do every year.  every one else on the limo know, I hope no one says anything. I"ll never hear the end of it.  We are meeting them tomorrow night for supper. I might just tell them??? yikess I might need a drink first.

Hey dearie...here I come up for air! Can't you just tell them you are on a low carb/high protein diet and you have already lost 20 lbs (or whatever you will have lost) and you are not going to blow it this time! I am sure you have been on diets before so they shouldn't think this was too weird. Say you are pre-diabetic (which you probably are!) and your doc is encouraging you to eat this way. All that is pretty close to the truth so it shouldn't be to hard to pull off.

I'm very conflicted, I know if I tell them I'm just setting myself up for critism, but If I DON"T tell them they will find out sooner or later, then I'll really get it, for not telling them plus the wls.   plus, if she finds out, she will tell the whole family and they will do the same...oh, well, I"m damned if I do and damned if I don't...

Who the heck would ask you that stuff...do they have no life...they would really notice what you were eating and or drinking?? Your health is the very best answer!! and any furthre probing..."I can't believe you would ask me that!" and turn away!!! No one has the right to that info if you don't want to spill. We all have been on so many silly diets over the years-I did the Master Cleanse for 12 days!-that our friends won't figure anything is up. You'll be fine...just GO SOX everytime it comes up!!!!

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

I would just say I have to watch what i eat your stomach has been a little irratable. Of course I would tell them I just had surgery on my stomach and answer NO questions. I hope you feel better than I did at 2 weeks out. I could not stomach the protein drinks still can't.

You could always make up something like you have some special colonoscopy test or something and you need to only eat soft foods for a few days.  Or make up some other reason why that is medical.  Maybe you have had stomach issues lately and they are doing an endoscopy or something.  You could put a water with a lime in a cup and pretend there is vodka in there lol.  Or before you go you could put some water with a splash of crystal light in wine cooler bottles :) You could snack on string cheese...have chicken salad (just say you don't want the bun to soak up all your alcohol lol.
