we sure will be recoup together.  HOw long you plan on being out of work, I made plans for my little man to be gone for 7 days, I think that will be plenty, He is so easy to care for, All I need to do is turn on shower water and off and give him his meds.  he does everything else independently.  so I should be fine.  the only thing will be driving but I think after 7 days i'll be fine...

I have asked for 4 weeks off. I have to do quite a bit of lifting at work, so I just want to be sure I am ready when I go back.   A couple of nurses I work with came back after 3-4 weeks, so I think I'll be all set after 4.  Luckily, I have some vacation time saved up (not quite enough for all 4 weeks, but it will be really close!)

ohhh ohhh, i get it sorry,  My plans are to be good, I might have some beer, but the food part I will be careful, I've never been a greasy (pizza, fries, doughboy, sweet) kind of person, I"m telling you, i've been on a diet my whole adult life.  My problem was I'd diet all week and cheat on weekends and gain it all back... haha, obviously had too many weekends,

Yooohoooo!!!!!!!!  That was the original date that was set for me.  only 26 days away.  I too am a list person so I understand you list of lists LOL.   I am having 2 weeks out of work but my job is a desk job and I do not  do lifting so that is OK.  The waiting for your date to arrive bench is getting more populated with quite a few of us within weeks of each other. Do your happy dance  and make sure you have everything on your lists LOL.

Hey peg, I know there is quite a few of us also some in May.  I was just reading your profile and was wondering... I am going for Lap BAnd and saw you said you weighed too much for the band.  Do you know why?? for what reason?  I understand it is slower, but was just wondering what it is they think will happen??? just curious.. thxs

My surgeon said the lap band is only good for a max of 150 lbs loss and I need to loose over 200 so I was not a good canidate for the band.  Different doctors may have different feelings about this but that is what he recommends and I am OK with it.

don't push driving. i drove about 25 miles one week out to register my car and get bloodwork done and i was spent when i got home. i wonder if it's easier with lap band? i know it's less invasive. anyway, be careful and good luck. i can't believe it's right around the corner now. this is very exciting news.
