I just called my insurance and I was denied because my BMI was not 40 for the last 3 years!!! So I went through all of this for nothing! I can't believe it. I am so upset. It is so not fair!!!

don't give up. you can appeal. perhaps dr. loggins can write a letter with your co-morbidities. there's got to be something you can do. talk to crystal. she'll be a big help. hang in there.

He already had to send a letter when they wanted more info. I tried to call Crystal, the office is closed. I never thought I would be denied because I was not fat enough!!!

NO NO NO, don't give up, I read that alot of people appeal and will get approved, just be strong and don't give up, look at it as another step.. I[m so sorry I can imagine this is very hard. go to the insurance forum and ask what your next step should be, People who have gone thru this are very willing to help... it might just take a few steps more.... we have your back girl...

OWOOO!!! Don't give up I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Keep after them you would think the constant battle of losing and regaining would be more of a factor. Keep trying never lose hope.

Michelle, I'm sorry you were denied. Just don't give up. That's what the insurance company wants you to do. Fight it and fight it! Don't let them win. You pay your premium, you should be able to get every benefit that you are intitled to. ~dori~

I agree with everyone else...there has to be a way to appeal and win! btw....I lost about 50 pounds about 6 years ago and if they took that weight (I know I saw my PCP when my weight was lower) then I wouldn't have qualified either! It's awful that they denied you but keep pressing them! Don't give up! You know we're all here for you!
