oldies??
I'm 6 monthd out and I kinda keep track in my head but not on paper. I did journal for 2 weeks before my 6 month check up just to see how I was doing and for the most part I was ok with everything. Still need to get my fluids up but protein and calories were good.
I think after surgery I kept track for a couple of weeks once I started eating real food.

i'm 5 weeks out and don't track like i used to for corinne. i keep a piece of paper with a p and f on it to track. i write down the number and keep a running total. on the p side i write briefly what it was. i try to get what i can from food and suppliment at the end of the day with shakes. i'm so sick of those things now.
I still write everything down so I know if I mess up the where and why so I can go back to what works. I know many many people that do not track anything, but I want this to succeed so badly it doesn't bother me writing everything done. Heck I have been doing it for almost 7 months since I started my journey. I have a actual journal I keep track of food and exercise in. Keeps me honest.
I am in week & (so not an oldie ha ha), but I write everything down. I used to be anal and write the times, but I don't anymore. I have 3 meals, and 2 snacks a day (and a pm snack too around 8). I have a book that has those broken out and I write what and how much I have at each. The only thing I track is the protein and calories at this point. I haven't ventured out too much and have been having the same things. So I think this will become more important as I introduce new things. Say I average 3-4 pounds per week loss. Then I start adding new things and for a few weeks it is 2 pounds a week. Well, maybe something I am eating is doing this. So I can go back and see what is going on.
I imagine I will keep this journal up for the first year. I am not doing it like for corrine (2 oz white tuna fi****bsp recued fat may, 2 slices diet light wheat bread with calories and protein listed for each). I will just write 1/2 tuna sandwich with proteins and calories. So I have simplified it.
I don't write it down anymore, but I do try to count my protein for the day and make sure I've drank atleast 4 bottles of water or crystal light so I know I got in enough liquid. I try to make every meal or snack have some kind of protein if I can. I just stopped doing the shakes and started eatting protein bars, guess we'll see if it works for me if my hair doesn't fall out again. lol

I have been tracking since Jan 1st, its not bad, since I have the time and all, but I was thinking there will be a day where I'm gonna trash this whole thing and didn't want to fail at this, I was wondeirng how you all were doing it, since you all have had such great success. I do know one thing I need to uppppp my exercise. LIke i've said before and I'm useing this as an excuse, but this winter need to be over. real soon. I'm not a snowshoer or cold weather activity kind of girl. But give me a nice day of mowing the lawn and swimming and working in gardens I'm all over it. Thanks guys !!
