goal question
Steph, I totally understand, because I see it in a few people I know (and you know) to be in the same place as you, you are so affraid to gain it back your being very caucious, but on the other hand you know its enough. boy the more I look into this I see this problem being more of a head thing then anything else. Right now, I don't care about being in a size 10 or less, I want to be healthy and feel good, but I can see where this will lead me???? thanks
years ago when i did nutri system i got down to 130. i felt i looked sick so i set a goal of 140 for myself or a comfy size 12. i figure anything less is a bonus. i won't stress if i don't make it. i just want to be healthier and be able to have more stamina and energy. i guess my body ultimately makes the decision on where it's going to be running at its best. i just have to wait and see. anything less than i am is a bonus.
There is the "official" measure of if your surgery is a success and that is if you loose more than 50% of your exceess weight and keep it off for 5 years (or something like that) then the surgery is a success. I set my own goal and I have mini goals inbetween. For example I want to be below 383 prior to my surgery (that gets me out of end stage obesity) last time I was at the doctors and my official pre sugrery weight was the 388. I still have a few weeks (2 of which are liquid) so I believe I will make my goal. My overall goal is 189. That is a total loss of 225. I set the goal discussed it with my Nut and feel it is a goal I can make. If I dont I will not beat myself up if I exceed it that is good too.
