Hi everyone, As you have gathered, I am on liquids for the next coupld of weeks.  I am having a bit of trouble gett ing the protein things, mixed to a palatable consistency.  EG, my Unjury chicken soup is lumpy. Are there tricks to shaking, blending or stirry the protein powders to avoid these little demons? Thanks.

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

I know that the liquid can't be too hot for the powders.  That can make it lumpy.  If I remember correctly.  I tried it once in soup but couldn't do it..  it was horrid

Get a magic bullet if you don't have one already it works great for all kinds of things.

i got vanilla protein powder to put in decaf coffee and it curdled. so i tried to mix it in cold water and then heat it up and it still curdled. i've had no luck with using my protein powder warm. i mix it with cold water only and sometime add some ice.

I had the same problem and found (with suggestion from the main board) that if you mix the powder BEFORE adding it to hot stuff it does not lump up.  You can use as little as 1/4 cup of water for a whole scoop of protein.  It makes like a paste that mixes nicely.  For coffe, tea and hot cocoa I mix it with 1/4 cup of soy milk (I can't do regular milk) then add the coffe or whatever to it.  For soups I would either mix it with a little of the broth base from what you are using or if you are using a condensed soup what ever it is that you mix with it.  Works like a charm!!!!
