EMMC Question

I have only one appointment left in the EMMC program...the surgeon appointment. At this point I'm don't know if I'll ever get one however should I.....what exactly happens at the appointment?

Thanks Kathy. I haven't been online much lately because I've been working very hard at cleaning my home. You know...cleaning out all the drawers, cabinets, and closets. This weekend I'm cleaning my kitchen. I'm taking everything out of each cupboard and drawer wiping it out and then neatly putting things back in. I'm not even half finished and already I have 2 large boxes of items I have no use for. I'll offer everything to my children and take what's left over to the salvation army.

Hi Caribou!! At mine, with Dr. Loggins, he blew in asked me if I had any questions, praised the head start I had, set a date for surgery, and blew out. I almost said who was that masked man!!! lol so you are almost all set, I would expect you will get an idea of date, and what you have to do until then...?

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

Wow. Since I'm looking at a total of 8 hours traveling time for the appointment I sure hope it's more than just that.

Hello.. myself have 1 more with amanda to see if i can get down 10 lbs and then i will move on to the surgeon... But i have a friend that just want last week to see Dr Clough and He sent her to labs the next day and on monday she getting utralsound done and after Dr clough see it all and thing look good someone will be calling her with her Date . well hope this help and wish u the best of luck Amber

Good morning Amber. Do you know why your friend had an untrasound? What were they looking for? Is she self pay? I ask because you didn't mention waiting for insurance approval.

I had Dr.Clough and the only thing he did when he came in was ask questions how much your goal weight is.ect..then sent me for labs about a week later I had a call for a surgery dat.. I love that man he is great.

Hi Barb. I wonder why they waited a week after seeing Dr. Clough before ordering your labs? Possibly it was after your insurance approval when they ordered them? Hmm...Ambers friend went for labs the day after seeing Dr. Clough. I'm confused now. Do they do the labs before sending to the insurance company to see if you're elegible or do they assume everything is good then send to the insurance company and then have the labs just before surgery to be sure everything is fine? What do they check for in your labs anyway? I just had tests done at my physical but that was in December.
