First I want to thank everyone here on the Maine board.  What a great, diverse group of gals.  I think, we're all gals, certainly invite any guy to jump right in and joint tho.  But I think the support here is so wonderful and rewarding at the same time.  But here is my point.  I have gone to other sites, some before I came here, but just wanted to say, how much fighting concerning the differences between their surgery choices.  I just cringe.  I can't believe anyone would fight like that, it is their prefference...period.  nothing more, nothing less.  You have all be so wonderful,  the fighting is NASTY to say the least, name calling, you name it.  My point is, I'm Proud to be a Mainer, and thanks to you girls, I feel confident to move ahead with my decision.  Of course LIke to hear information concerning the band, but not because I think it is a better surgery, but for my own knowledge.  Thanks again.... wish you all the best , Friends !!  Honk

I have had the same experiences actually blocked a few people because of their childish behavior. I love this board never have a seen anything negative only positive support. I have found the lightweight board to be supportive as well, but I guess it takes a Mainer to relate. Of all the places out there this is the where I will come when and if I need support.

Hi all!  I am so glad I found you all and appreciate so much the support I've found here!  It's been awesome!  I agree with you that the type of surgery is a personal choice and, in the end, aren't we all after the same thing?   A healthier life!?!?  I don't think it really matters what tool(s) we use to get there, as long as we do our best to get there!  (Enjoy the rollercoater of emotions in the process!)
