Trainer at gym

I had an awesome session today with the trainer at the gym.  I was obviously doing all the wrong stuff for my body.  She had me do one set of reps of each thing (12-20 each) and not even like weightlifting of course.  I am so sore already and it has only been a few hours.  I thought for sure my legs and lower body would be quite strong since I am always walking, doing the bike, elliptical etc.  Nope.  She had me do these simple squats/lunges and this exercise with a ball...I about died.  I was laughing so hard coming home because right when I took the first step the whole front of my thigh and my butt started shaking lol.   If I stick to her plan 3 times per week I know it will work.  It is funny that I have gone to the gym and done what I thought was ten times more work....but obviously I was wrong.

I am happy you are learning what will wor****ep going back n forth between the gym and just buying a stair stepper or something like that.. Keep letting us know how you are doing . I think it would be fun to go to the gym. Summers would be hard though with kiddos home. I have never had a baby sitter and don't plan to start the local gym in Naples doesn't have child care so not sure how I would handle that. Maybe find a gym a little farther away with child care??

They have childcare at this one, which is the #1 reason I chose it.  It is $1 for 1 1/2 hours per child.  Otherwise hubby and I would have to take turns going.  I have a gym super close (right around the corner), but for me the childcare made it worth it to travel a bit.

I've thought about going to a gym for a while but I just don't know how to fit it into my day, unless I get up at 4am!  Between work, kiddos, homework, etc....just not enough hours in the day.  It's also kinda hard to justify as we have a Bowflex, stationary bike, and all kinds of free weights sitting in the basement!  Please keep us posted how it goes.  I might have to look into it at some point!

I guess the good gym will be a good excuse for a break.  It will probably make me go more since I don't get many breaks as it is.
