Crystal called and my insurance needs my weight documentation from last 3 years.  How come they never told me this up front!!!  I have done everything they asked of me.  I did not go to drs during 2005-2006 and have my weight documented.  I am trying to get my annual health records from my work employee health dept.  Does any one know if WW keeps records from previous years?  I don't think I still have my cards.  I will have to call them.  This is all very frustrating!

Keep your chin up we all had little snags to get through. With me everything was all submitted and then I find out they were missing one year of my weight OWOOO So I had to suggest to my PCP office that they check paper files. Finally they did find it. But that caused me to not get my surgery in Dec like I wanted. Hang in there it is worth the wait.

oh, man, I thought I was the only one crap happends to.  I would deffinetly call ww again and ask to speak to a supervisor.  that is BUll, all those years you have put money into them. bull !!! also, I know they are so short staffed, they only staff what they absolutely need and don't work extra hours.  CAll the Headquarters if you have to.  They will push them.  I am thinking that might happen to me too.  but I have my cards for 4 yrs.  if I have to do it for 5 I'm out of luck.  plus, I didn't go to dr's for like 20 years before 2 yrs ago.   Don't give up, be a B" and keep plugging.  No one will do it for you, I've found that out.   Good Luck, let us know how it goes and what you did, so we can all learn.   Cheryl

Well someone from WW is suppose to call me back.  My work requires annual health updates.  So I have my wieght records from them from 2004-2007 and I hand delivered them to Crystal a little while ago.  I did not go to Dr either.  I just saw OB/GYNs for my  pregnancy.  So I hope my employee health records will work.  I started this all last July and have done everything they have asked of me.  Does insurance companies think people pack on the pounds all at once so they can have surgery?????

I am not sure but I think it has something to do with up and down so called yo yo dieting. Where you have actually tried in the past to lose weight only to have it all come back and more in cases like mine. I think they just want to have just cause for the surgery. It is an elective surgery in their eyes and they want it to be medically necessary.

Oh Man!! 3 years is a lot!!   They don't tell you anything.  You have to be your own advocate and call your insurance co to find out what they require.  Every insurace is different.  The Pre-Op process can be hell!!

My insurance requried 5 years of history.  I have never done a structure like WW and during the time that they wanted the histroy I moved from upstate New York to Maine and the doctor I used to see in New York sold his practice.  So my current doctor did not have the information.  It took multiple phone calls the the office of the doctor that bought my prior doctor's practice to get my records sent to my current pcp (which I tried to have done when I moved here somehow the office did not get the faxes) and then when they finally told me that they had the release paperwork (that I faxed) they still took more than a week to box up the reports (mine and my DH) and send them out.  I am thankful I knew that these were needed upfront because all in all it took a couple of months for my PCP to get the file.  Then he wrote something for the insurance approval.
