Gastric Sleeve.....

Hello All!   I am all done tests, and have to meet with nut on the 15th of april for final approval.... now here is the kicker! How many have looked into the Gastric Sleeve, and how many of you would have rather???    I have yet to find any surgeons here in maine, but am willing to go out of state.

I went into my consult totally sure I was going to have lap band. Through the learning process I decided that RNY was best for me. I would just look at all your options and choose the one that is best for you.  Good Luck with your decision. I wish you all the best.

I looked into all types of surgery before I chose RNY - this is the surgery that had the best to offer me help with my personal issues. Gets confusing sometimes - but if there were only one true answer on how to make a larger person lose weight - we'd all be skinny by now - but there isn't, we're all different.

At our orentation here at EMMC (BANGOR) they said that Dr. Toder was going to hopefully start doing the gastric sleeve surgery in the spring.  They said not to many insurance companys cover it though due to it not being out very long....
