Hi Everyone,
So I'm still trying to lose those last pesky 4 pounds to get to 125! I have been tracking my food on dailyplate and love it. My problem: I just checked my protein intake and my high is 55g an dmy low is 37g (fell asleep at 7:30 for the night). I'm taking in about 800 calories a day some days as much as 920 and others as low as 720. I know at 11 months out I should know this but what should my calories be at? According to Corinne's book it's about 1000 but can I still lose eating that much? How can I get more protein without adding a lot of calories?
Thank you for any & all suggestions!!!

Steph, I know Im not the most experienced when it comes to wls, but in all the years I spent dieting and doing ww, I do know if calorie intake is too low your body just won't loose any more.  At a year out, is that normal to be having such little calories. I have learned counting calories and proteins that it is hard to get them both on target.  I found that shrimp is low calories and higher protein.  I will add shrimp to my salad or stir fries.  My personal opinion is I would try adding a little of both, try it for a few weeks, see how that goes.  You might be surprised.  Or like everyone says, increase exercise?? not sure what you are doing for that as far as cardio.  HOpe your last day was ok for you.  Good luck with your new job.

sounds like you are in starvation mode. i'd increase your calories by adding extra protein. Maybe add one shake a day. that would also help with fluid intake. dr. loggins wants us exercising a half hour a day 5 days a week. that should be more than adequate. if it continues call corinne. good luck on those last 4 pounds.

Hi Steph!  No worries. As for the calories, I believe it is 1,000 (at least) and 60-80g of protein.  I know she gave me a number specific to me to maintain after.  It was 1300-1500 calories a day (once I reach goal).  So obviously for me I would still lose at 1000 calories.  Like Lisa said I think your body may be in starvation mode.  Afterall it probably knows you do not have hardly any fat reserves left to tap into.  I would do at least 1000 calories and make sure to up your protein. I think Any Whey is pretty low in calories.  I add a 1/2 scoop to my tea (no calories).  So it is like 8.5 grams of protein in only 35 calories.  I also add it to my diet swiss miss hot cocoa.  1 whole scoop (can't even tell it is in there).  So it is 70 calories, plus the 25 from the cocoa...95 calories and 17 grams of protein. Egg whites have 3.6 grams and like 17 calories...what about adding an egg white scramble with the peppers or something.   I think you have room in your calories to add a shake or a scoop of something to food.  Even gettin 100 calories and 20g of protein would do the trick.

Hi Steph, Yes, up your calories.  Your metabolism is probably in "starvation mode"  and it is just taking from everything you put in, rather than your stored fat. But good job on your loss!!   I would be happy to be that close and not lose those last 4!!    PS: We can't see the bottom of your ticker, I think it is because of the huge space in between your horsie and your ticker.
