caffine is bad stuff/headache
so I stopped drinking pepsi, and only have a coffee maybe 3 times a week. so I thought I'm all set, I've detoxed from Caffine .... NOT... I've had a headache for 3 days, so after I took a nap this afternoon, I made some coffee and within 1/2 hour it was gone. Damn.... HOw do people go from drinking 3 pots a day to nothing. I would have to join Lyndsay Lohan in Rehab.
Warning, thanks for your honesty! BUT....How did you dare? You may have been ok, but why risk it NEWBIES Please dont risk your complications or even NOT Being able to have surgery that day **because of not following the rules.. risky.. sorry I couldnt resist,! we all know how to cheat and do wrong lets learn how to stay on track,
Rules are for reasons, and honestly cheat yourself in the long run, We need to encourage each other and support good habits, we already know our bad ones.. Thats how so many fail and fail again, sorry Its soo scarey, to risk especially pre op and post op!
My Coffee tips, buy two cans one decaf. one reg. and mix it a bit at a time. I used to drink turbos from dunkin donuts almost black, I WAS addicted. and if I can drink decaf anyone can!!
Years drinking coffee, I even quit smoking but still enjoyed coffee.
and I do feel much better, I get power from protein and it lastsssssss and I dont crash . Flushing your body with diaretics, (caffenine) is going to stop weight loss,
If you like flavored coffee Harmony Bay has awesome Hazelnut decaf, I gaurntee you wont know the difference, they sell it at walmart and food city and hannaford bros. but I personally recommend doing it all preop.. thats why we have nuts, counselors to help us make good choices forever........ and after surgery YOu may not even like coffee after, Many peoples tastes change post op, mine still are .
This weight loss needs to be permanent! and it can be for all of us, with each others help.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and your patience.. Heres to supporting good habits for each other.. Blessings

I do try to support my friends, but I"m far from perfect as I know most of everyone else are not perfect. We all have our faults, but I think being honest and not lying about them is why we are all here and we all get along so well. we have each others back. we try to get over it and we move on. A little of helpful critism is good, be easy...

Absolutely! I am not perfect never was, Not trying to be,Never will be . sorry communication is coming accross wrong,
I just want to say I was totally horrified to give up coffee,(caffenine) cigarettes, chocolate and each one at its own time happened, I appreciate honesty, thats what I love about everyone here! and honesty I admire! the journey .. the stages... the emotions.. I am sorry to if anyone was offended. Thanks for being honest no intentions to critise anyone EVAH! Be blessed everyone.. only good thoughts always..
Scented Blessings..

Because I know how caffine affects me I broke from it months ago when I had some vaction from work (I get headachs and really sleepy all the time). But prior to the full break I went to decaf coffee. I don't have an answer on how to avoid the headachs (short of ingesting some caffine) but I do know they usually only last for a week and then the system should be clear. By the way caffine affects the body's ability to heal and dehydrates you. I am glad to hear that you are trying to break from it. I was told that after the surgery once I am averaging 64 oz of water a day I can go back to my coffee. I figure if I push maybe 2 weeks out (OK that may be wishful thinking but I have been without coffee sense before christmas).
