Frustration!!!

Another day in paradise!   I called Crystal today to see if my medical record had everything it needed in it.  I had asked all the consulting MD's to please fax copies of results to the office, but you know how that goes!
So....I was missing my ABG's, EKG, pap, mammogram, all the notes from my cardiac workup and results from the GI consult.  Crystal was awesome on the phone and was able to pull up and print all the reports she hadn't recieved yet from the CMMC logician system, except for the GI consult notes.  So, I told her I'd get in touch with the GI doc's office and have the report faxed over ASAP.  (I confirmed that the team is meeting next Tues and the report needs to be there by Monday or I'll have to wait another week...YIKES!)  So, I called the GI doc's office and was told that my appointment was ONLY a week and a half ago and their transcriptionist is really far behind and I'll just have to wait until they get around to it.  So.....I was sooooooo peeved!  The lady on the phone knew it too so she pulled my record and told me that they would fax it as soon as it's done. In the meantime..............I wait some more.  
Maybe I am trying to rush things too much, but, I hate being left at the mercy of people who don't really care. It's not their life or health that is waiting!  So, wish me luck and say a little prayer that that doc's office can get on the ball for me!   Thanks!

like so many girls have done here, keep calling, like corinne said "the squeeky wheel gets the oil"  you are just ready to go girl,  just hang in there.  they will put you to the top of the list if you bug them.  you have moved along so fast, good luck.... we had our first meeting on the same day,  I still havn't had my 2nd meeting with Corrine, that is thurs.  Hope I can catch up with you.  You've done sooo awesome with exercise and weight loss, 

I had to hound my primary Dr to get one of weight year for the 5 year documented weight thing. I even had to tell them how to find it lol They went to computer everything but had the get them to dig into paper files. Thank goodness they still had it. Just bug them call every day if need be.

I know it's frustrating - and my friends here have already given you advice. I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you!

i was in the same boat. call them and bug them. i ended up waiting an extra week because of a delay on my reports being sent over. it's ok to be a week behind but i know that feeling of wanting to get it done and over with so you can start your new life. i bet you'll be done and over in a couple of weeks. hang in there.

Thank you all for your support and words of encouragement.  I called the GI doc back today and they finally decided that they had time to look for the paperwork!  What do you know....they found it and faxed it to me!!!!!!  I just hope it's enough!  I'm planning to hand deliver it to Crystal on Monday morning. Hopefully it's not too late for the team to add me to the list on Tuesday!   Thanks again for your support, prayers and kind words!!!! Ruth

not to worry about monday. i had bloodwork come in tuesday morning and they still reviewed me. good job getting all the paperwork. the gi doc. could have faxed it directly to crystal too.
