met some girls

Support group tonight was alot better then last time.  I met 6 people that have actually been here talking to us and some lerkers.  It was cool.  boy, Kate, you look soooo familiar.

Yes yes we met somes of ussss!! It was a fun night, so glad we got to go, took me a little extra to get home but it was ok.  Wonder why, Cheryl, where are you from?  I grew up in Westbrook...went to college in Orono....then have been here in the Fryeburg area for 35 years...ring any bells??

I dont know kate, I thought your picture looked familiar also, but just brushed it off.  My Son graduated from WEstbrook, he was on swim team in HS and on the Seals.  I grew up in Lewiston, worked at Tambrands for 20 years, then Tri County Mental Health??? I have a sister in Banking, For some reason I connect you with her??? do you go camping?  well, who knows, it was nice meeting you, hope you get another day off today, Its 4:30 and I'm up making breakfast and lunch for my DH.  going back to bed tho, ttyl        cheryl P.S.  Your friend actually looked familiar too, dang, I hate that when this happends

Cheryl, When did you work at Tambrands? I worked there for 2 years from 1994-1996. The first year I worked day shift as a temp and the second year I became full time and worked 3rd shift. JoAnn Lincoln was my supervisor and lived down the road from me then here in Oxford. Did you work there then? I hated that place, I was so happy to leave. Did you like it there? You worked there a long time. ~dori~

I worked there from 1976-1996.  we must of worked there the same time.  JoAnn and I go way back.  I left after an injury to my neck and couldn't do inspection or packing or winding anymore, around the last year I work in the office.  I hated every day of those 20 years, and havn't missed it for one day.  I worked all shifts and all jobs. my mom also worked there and was there 25 years when she retired.

Wow Cheryl, both you and your mom worked there a long time. Did they do anything for you and your mom when you guys left, for working there for 20 plus years?

when my mom left the girls got together and had a party, but there were like 3 woman who had retired around the same time so they had it together.  When I left It was suddenly, they layed me off, cause of my injury and said they had no work for me to do.  So I walked out with a smile.  they were very good to me, sent me to school to take some classes to rehabilitate me.  I'm so happy to be where I am now.  I still have alot of neck pain and am full of Arthritis in my neck.  does Joanne still have her place on the Lake?  I know her and Ray devorced.  I heard he had cancer.  have you heard anything?

I've seen JoAnn in town, her boys are the same ages as my girls. JoAnn use to live down the road from me, I live on Thompson Lake. Our kids rode the same bus. Last I knew she was living in South Paris working for the Sun Journal. She was one of the applicants for the position I resigned from at the county when I took a new position, I saw her then and she looked really good. I didn't know about Ray, I knew they divorced but didn't know anything about cancer. I don't know if she sold the place here on the lake or if Ray was living there. I know she had it before they were married. My hubby lived here to (his parents still live down the road)  when he was growing up and JoAnns oldest boy is our age and my hubby use to play with him when they were little.  ~dori~

you know, Dori the more I think about it, Ray remarried a woman who loves fishing and I guess they do everything together and is very happy. I am not sure how he is doing healthwise.  I also heard that Joanne was going blind??? not sure what is wrong or if they were able to do somehting for her.  Sounds like if she applied for that job that she is ok.  Boy, what a small world.  I saw Ray a few years back at the corner store in poland and he gave me the biggest hug.  I remember when they adopted the boys, she had pictures all over her desk. 

Glad you had a good meeting last night that is awesome. I am just waiting to be able to meet you all. We are home today no school for kiddos. Hard to believe I am 42 and have young kids lol guess I was a late starter. Considering I was 30 when I got married hee hee I guess I qualify for a late starter.
