Summer Gathering Poll

I would love to attend but it depends on when it is scheduled.  I am willing to drive a couple of hours and have no preference about where.  I live in Winthrop

I just called a few campgrounds to see if htey rented their pavillion.  First, one said they did, but couldnt' give me a price and it had to be on a sunday, where the campers won't be in and out. because most of them leave on sundays. so what I'm seeing with campgrounds if, lets say its raining, kids, and campers will be in and out.  I personally think we should have it a little more private??? JMO I can only imagine some little 10 year olds running in, with no supervision and spoiling our party.  what do you think?? and I think we really should have a place with a cover, incase it does rain, we can still have it,

I agree somehwre that has some privacy or an area separate...and also a cover or indoors.  That way we wouldn't have to cancel...I bet it would be hard for people to reschedule because of work etc.

i'm up for anything. just let me know when and where and i'll be there.

kathy I got a question.... when you say OOB are you speaking of the beach? or is there a certain place you were thinking of with shade, and tables for food???

my location is 35 mins. from waterville--saint albans out in the boon docks to you girls..just let me know when  i have the summer off if we ever get out of school..

I know, isn't it aweful.  these poor kids hope its not too hot for them.  I remember sitting there and looking out the windows wanting to be off for summer.

School before today was going to be out June 13 now it will be later. When I went to school they added in 7 snow days into the school year that way we didn't have to make up time we could get out a little early if we didn't use the snow days up.Oh well I do remember those days when all you could think about was being outside playing with mind wiped blank lol.

I'm up for anyplace that is semi-private...I'd like to wear a bathing suit but this saggy body is not good for the public eye. I agree with the cover shelter just in case. I will be coming solo as I want to be able to enjoy the day and with kids in tow that won't happen. DH, he's still considered public eye for now but maybe by the time we get together I'll be past that.

Can I just say: I HATE THIS WEATHER!!!!!!!

I think we should go with the Range Pond State park, they have a very private section that you can rent that has a covered picnic area, private bathrooms and changing rooms, trees and I believe there is a barbecue pit.  I do not know how much they charge for the rental of that but again there is a charge per person as well.  Missi
