question about 1 on 1 nutrition test at EMMC

So, I go to my one-on-one with either Dana or Amanda on Friday, and I know that I am to take a written nutrition test based on the black book, but I wondered if it is multiple choice or fill in the blank or what? Also, what does it cover? Just the nutrition stuff? Or does it also ask questions about the procedure itself? I don't want to blow it and I haven't really studied the way I should so I'd best get to it! Any help you can offer will be much appreciated! Details details details, please. I am a "Virgo Detail Queen" through and through! I should have asked you this today when we were together, Candace, but there was just so much else to talk about, I forgot!

Thanks Amberlee...Does it just cover the diet and nutrition part or are there questions about the surgery itself...such % excess weight loss possible and for how many years etc. Do they ask the differences between Lap Band and Roux enY?

I was worried too when I went on my one one one but I really didn't find the quiz hard at all.  I met with Dana and thought she was really nice.  They ask what complications can happen with RNY also  what can you eat after the surgery and what you can't eat after surgery.  I first met with her thinking I was going to have Lap Band Surgery and changed my mind to RNY after speaking to her.  I had to answer questions on both procedures.  Just make sure you know the complications that can occur, and she also asks how much food you can eat after surgery and what type of foods you can eat.  You should do fine!  Good Luck!

It will be the easiest test you take this year!!!!  You can use your book, but the questions we really quite easy.

I hope I'm not too late to answer this.   I was very worried also.  When Dayna handed me the "quiz" I was very relieved to see most of it was true or false and multiple choice.  While I began the quiz Dayna looked at my prescriptions and wrote them down.  I wasn't even half way done and she took the paper from me and we went over the questions together.  It was more of a conversation than anything else.  She didn't ask me to describe the surgery...I thought she would.  I actually think I asked her more questions than she asked me.  LOL Anyway....don't worry about it.  She is very, very nice and she won't allow you to "fail" the "quiz". Good luck!
