Wow!! Mine was only $11500.  Did you have complications?   I had to pay $900 of that, so you do have better benefits than I do!

No complications - this was standard.  She did mine robotically - I haven't received an itemized bill yet, so I don't know what that added to the cost.

The way our ins works is hubby's work pays the first $2000 then we pay the next $2000 at 100 % then $2000 at 10 % after that everything is 100% covered So we have 4000 total out of our pocket to pay but then anything else is covered. So Hubby can get his hernia fixed no charge.

That's awesome!  I have no idea what mine cost, but we have a total family out of pocket for a year as $1750.  So For 9 months of prenatal appointments, special ultrasounds (over $1,000 each) every month in Portland, the birth of twins via c-section and a 4 day nicu stay for Kenzie....1750.  We can go through $1,750 the 4 of us no problem.  So it almost seems like the whole thing is free.

I don't remember how much my surgery was, but all I had to pay was $ 100.00 per day co pay for the hospital stay. I had to stay 5 days because of complications, so I ended up paying $ 500.00 too. ~dori~

You are all very, very lucky.  I have a $5,000 deductible and another $5,000 coinsurance.  So this year I'm looking at $10,000 plus copays and prescription copays. My head is still spinning over my psycologist bill.  It was $856.  I think I should go back to school.  My 2-week paycheck is less than that.
