Hey Everyone,
My name is Darcy. This is my first post here, although I've been a member for quite a long time and I will be one year post-op in a few days (March 5).

Surgeon: Dr. Roy Cobean
I've had a couple complications, an ulcer and a strangulated hernia that required emergency surgery by Dr. Wolfe (Dr. Cobean was in Colorado) on February 20, 2008. Not fun! Very scary, but would I do it all again given the outcome? Absolutely!!!! Without question!

Important, to share, dont weigh yourself too much, this is soo hard to do, but one thing I can attest to is some times the scale is stuck for weeks then litterally overnite 10 pounds or 8 pounds or even 12 pounds are GONE.. so dont beat yourself up, if it takes a while to move, IT will keep chugging the protein! and exercise
ITS all different this time around.. These are all stages we are at.. on each of our Journeys, This is for the rest of my life a struggle.. and so glad to share this all with you..
I'm a candlemaking christian mom, thankful for my mobility and so blessed to have a place to share to lift up each other!!!

This surgery was the best decision I ever made. Since having my hysterectomy 4 years ago, I have been miserable with my weight and being in menopause unable to do anything about it. I am a much happier person and feel I am now able to live life to the fullest. thank you all for being here to support and encourage me. Missi
