1. if you can't be good be good at it. no idea where i heard that.

2. rochelle. she has stood by me thick and thin. we have been thru divorces together, loves, losses, family events, really everything. i feel she is my true soul mate.

3. pizza and chinese food

4. i guess using the lords name in vain.

5. don't judge a book by it's cover. i've done that and missed out on some great friendships because of the way people look. i learned it wasn't fair to judge until i got to know the person and go from there. just something i've picked up in my almost 40 years. i've definately learned to be more openminded and non-judgemental.

1) What is your favorite quote and who said it? ~ Listen to your heart ~ It's the name of a song from the 80's by Roxette. I've loved that saying since I heard the song way back then. I used the saying in my senior yearbook in 1990.

2) Who is your closest friend and why? My best friend Darlena, we've been friends since I was 12, way back in 1984. We've been through everything together and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. I've lost some close friends since having WLS and I'm blessed that she's been one of my biggest supporters.

3) Do you have a trigger food that will be the hardest of all to either give up or cut back on? The only things I've given up are soda and sugar. I eat everything else that I ate before, just much smaller portions, so I guess i don't have a trigger food anymore. I don't deprive myself of anything, if I want something sweet, I find a sugar free sweet, if I want something salty I eat something that I know won't hurt my pouch. I just eat a handful now instead of a whole bag.

4) Which of the 10 commandments do you struggle with most? (we all struggle with most of them at one time or another, if not by the letter of the law, at least in spirit!) Sorry but I don't know all 10 so not sure what there is to pick from, so I'll pass on this one

5) What is the most important lesson you have learned in life and from whom did you learn it?  My grandfather always said that no one was better than anyone else, we all come from the same place. He was a very smart man.

1) What is your favorite quote and who said it?

Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knowest God. He that loveth not knows not God for God is love. 1John 4:7-8

2) Who is your closest friend and why?

I have two.  First my husband Mike.  He has supported me in everything that I have tried in any area of my life and he is supporting me in this.  The second is Rachael.  We have been friend since 7th grade and are still going strong.

3) Do you have a trigger food that will be the hardest of all to either give up or cut back on?

I am not sure.  I thought it would be real chocolate but that has gone better than I expected.

4) Which of the 10 commandments do you struggle with most? (we all struggle with most of them at one time or another, if not by the letter of the law, at least in spirit!)

Remember the sabbath.  That is hard for me because I work long hours through the week and lots of house chores and errands have to be done on the weekend.

5) What is the most important lesson you have learned in life and from whom did you learn it? That if you ask him and then truly listen God will show you the best way and which decision is best for you.  I have learned this through experience in some major life decisions (including WLS).

1) What is your favorite quote and who said it?
"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man" ~Winston Churchill

2) Who is your closest friend and why?
My sister Andrea. I can tell her anything, she is bluntly honest and loves me unconditionally.

3) Do you have a trigger food that will be the hardest of all to either give up or cut back on?
I haven't had a choice on cutting back on bread & pasta because both now make me sic****ep trying pasta but it gets stuck everytime!! Bread makes me gag.

4) Which of the 10 commandments do you struggle with most? (we all struggle with most of them at one time or another, if not by the letter of the law, at least in spirit!)
Hmmm...?

5) What is the most important lesson you have learned in life and from whom did you learn it?
You will have to work with people you don't like...but it's only work they don't have to be your friends. I learned this from my Mom as well as a million other things...I miss her SO much.
