Did any  of you watch the surgery on tv last night.  it was on TLC.  they showed RNY and it really was interesting.  All the fat inside, around the organs, really made me realize how important it is and how much easier it makes the surgery for the dr. if we loose weight or follow a liquid diet pre op.  Dr. Oz said on his show last week,  That even slim people have fatty organs and the only way to totally get rid of it is with exercise.  boy these Dr's were really working hard to get around all the crap in there.  I'm happy, my uterus is gone, hehe can you imagine if you were constipated and had a full belly???

I wish I had the opportunity to watch it but I don't get TLC....actually I don't even know what TLC is...I don't have cable or any of that stuff.

I have a link if you wanna watch one online.  You will need to copy and paste to your browser I think. http://www.or-live.com/synovissurgical/1926/event/rnh.cfm

Hi Kathy. Thank you for that link.  I watched it last night.  I did have to look away several times....I'd never make it as a surgeon.   I'm glad to see an actual surgery.  Everything I'd seen previously was computer generated.  Before I had LASIK I watch an actual surgery and it really helped me understand things better.  This has as well.  I'm sure I'll watch it over and over again.  You know how it is...some things you can watch and watch and watch and still learn. Thanks again....you're great!

Yes, they are on every Wednesday.  They are on Season 2.  Their Daughter/Sister is on this site, I can't remember her name but she had the Lapband by another doc.   And every so often, I have come across a Dr Garth patient on the Main Board.

I love this show - the first season started last May before I made my decision to have WLS, it was a big help in the process for me.
