i'm going a bit crazy with the itching. i'm not itching it persea but it's driving me nuts. i wonder if it's from the morphine or if i could be having a reaction to my protein. i'm using whey protein so it should be ok. i'm not allergic to any food. did you have this? if so how long? i've been putting baby powder on it and that soothes it a bit.

Hi Lisa,  I hope by now your itching has eased....but if not I'd recommend calling Dr. Loggins if it continues. NOT to scare you (it could simply be skin irritation) but itching could be anything from an allergic reaction to liver/kidney problems. Better safe than sorry! Take care, Lori

I remember the itching too.  I think it is normal. Now I can't remember why but maybe it is the pain meds.

kathy,

that's exactly where the itching is. my neck is red too. the warmer i get the worse it gets so i'm keeping uncovered and powdered up. if it's like this monday morning i'll call to see if i can take liquid benadryl. i also thought it could be from the morphine. i honestly don't think it's serious. just annoying.

Yeah, nothing serious. I think for me it was from the Oxycodone.

it seems to be the pain meds. didn't take any yesterday and it eased up. then took some before bed and woke during the night scratching. i've noticed again as the day goes on it's easing up.

thanks for the hints girls!

I wouldn't take any more of that stuff myself. I only took that stuff just 2 nights and it made me have such STRANGE dreams I said the heck with it. I didn't really hurt enough to take it anyway. Hope your itching goes away real soon now.
