Cool NSV at the doctor today!

The first stop on the journey with my doctor is an informational seminar with the doctor, nurse and a couple post-ops who have been successful and talk about their experience.  

Today I want for my appointment and the girls at the desk didn't even recognize me.  After they got over making me feel like a star they called the nurse practitioner in and she immediately asked if I would be willing to be one of the guest post-ops at a future seminar!!!  

OMG!!!  I feel like a new person, but to have someone else say I am now the "poster post-op"  is an amazing thing!!!  

I just had to share, I really feel like a success now and I still have 16 lbs to lose.

Sheli, I am so happy I found this site all the girls are absolutely wonderful, careing and so supportive.  I just wanted to let you know your the only one I know here with the Lap Band and hope you stick around after your journey is done.  we all need you around and I certainly will have questions and I need you.  great job, and stick around toots!  oh, do you know of anyone else on the Maine board who have had the band?

I can't imagine if I had not found this place. It has kept me focused, sane and moving forward. It gave me the gift not only of online friends, but also a co-worker who had surgery too and has been a light in my journey (I would never have known Summer if she hadn't found me here!- and we work for the same school.)  I plan to be here for a long time to come!!! I don't think there are any regular posting bandsters other than us but there is another bandster who just moved to the state who posts sometimes.   If I can help you at all just pm me anytime...it's no fun feeling alone in this journey.  Even if I don't post all the time I am still here...I have developed a shopping habit that is keeping me busy...not spending too much, but boy is it fun to look! :) Sheli

You are MY poster child too!!!  and you are catching up fast Summer!!  I am so glad you found me here, and that you stop in and say hi...I feel so less alone in this.  I saw a teacher (K.E.) from F/M the other day and she told me how amazing she thinks we both are.  She aksed if we had ever talked...little does she know...we are both addicted to this site!!! :) Sheli oh, and on the 16 lbs flying off....from your mouth to god's ears!!!!
