Amber dont give up.. just keep trying because they wont deny you if you keep log of food you eat times and exercise log.. just log it all down and see what they say. they want to see if you are committed to doing this..I keep log of everything until i got my appointment with Dr.Clough.. he is a very nice man and is very willing to help you..keep your chin up it is all worth it in the end not right now but after you have surgery..email lynn ask her what she would recommend. when do you see amanda again??what part of the process are you. Amber, dont' give up, keep it up, and yes, keep a journal.  Track everything that goes past your lips.  have you ever counted calories. I just started and didn't give up, with the support from the girls here. and have lost 10 lbs. since Jan 1st.  (it gets very discouraging sometimes) sometimes it takes time to kick in.  Your are young tho and it will drop fast. keep up the good work.  cheryl

For one if you are that active maybe you are not getting enough calories?? Sounds to me like you are not even getting in 1000 calories. First of all are you logging your food, calorie and protein intake? If not try starting that. And not sure what your choices for eating are but if possible try making the healthier choices like low or fat free. Hmm the swimming should work for the exercise part but maybe you need something else. The Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds are Awesome and I was doing the 3 mile pre op I lost 28 pounds on my own prior to surgery. You could also be holding fluid? If so watch the sodium intake.  Hope this helps and good luck

What kind of tea are you drinking?  You should avoid caffeine as it dehydrates you.  I usually drink Crystal lite and water.  I journal everything ( calories, protein, my hunger level when I eat, fluids and exercise.  Did she give you a calorie range to stay in?

Wow....she gave you a specific weightloss goal?  For me, they didn't care how much I lost - they just wanted to see that I could stick to something long enough to lose something. I think our friends gave you good advice re: food log and drinking non-caffiene drinks. When I was at you point though - I drastically lowered my carbs and fat intake and made sure to eat good protein and veggies. She told you to drink 2 meals? I'm not in love with the nutrition dept - that was the only area that I have complaints with in the whole process. I know you can do it - we're on your side here.

Have you had your thyroid and such tested? I know thyroids can be a reason people have a hard time losing weight. Other than that all I can say is what everyone else said, just keep at it and log it. I have met with both Amanda and Dayna and they are both great and very understanding, they can't fault you as long as you are working at it and doing what they say.

Your diet looks ok to me. If your thyroid is out of whack that will make it near impossible to lose weight I know I have been battling with mine for 10 years now and is in control now. Hope you get your results soon
