AchievOne HERO right here!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok ladies! All this hard work and persistence has paid off! Who wants a heck of a deal on some achieve one???!!!!
After going through the distributor and finding a natural food store to do it....we can place an order.
So here is the deal. Harvest Time in Augusta, Maine is willing to place an order for me for achieve one. They will charge $2.89 each (making it $34.68 per case). But if you buy a case they will take 15% off the cost since they are just getting it in and turning it over to me/us. So the grand total for a case of achievone will be $29.48 plus tax ($30.95)---making it $2.57 per bottle!
YAHOO YIPPEE!!!! That is even cheaper than some sites, and no shipping costs!
Augusta is like 35 minutes from me so it is no problem to go up and get it. I am not sure how far others (oceanlady) are from there or whether it would be worth it.
So I am gathering orders for the amount of cases for her to place an order (and flavors). She will place the order I give her all at once and needs 1/2 the $ on a credit card to make the order (no problem there). I can then pick them all up and people can come here to pick them up from me, or I could possibly meet someplace. If someone is on the opposite side of Augusta I am sure she could hold the case there and you pick it up yourself.
So...anyone want in?! I LOVE the mocha java (only one I have tried). So I am going to splurge (just sold some baby jumperoos etc) and get 2 cases of mocha java and a case of cappuccino.)
Post here if interested and what you would want (# of cases and by flavor). I would need the $ to pick them all up (obviously), but we can coordinate that later. She said she orders from there twice a month (I am sure she would do this for us again).
They have: 20g protein, 5 carbs, 0 fat, no added sugar and contains 19 essential vitamins and minerals.
Mocha Java
Hazelnut Creme
Vanilla Nut
Cappuccino
There is caffeine in them.
I am excited!
So why an't you have a diet caffeine free pepsi? I know we are allowed to have orange soda etc as long as it is no calorie, caffeine free no sugar and flat.
As for the caffeine. Caffeine can cause ulcers and can dehydrate you, also interfere with absorption of calcium. If you do have caffeine you should drink an extra glass of water to compensate for it. Not that these would be for daily use, but on occasion. It is a protein drink, so there is a benefit to drinking it. Just plain old coffee---probably not recommended. She was going to look them up---I showed her the ad in OH mag on my first nutrition meeting. I think it is okay every once in awhile. Not to make a habit of it, and not to get hooked on the caffeine. I could care less about caffeine myself. I have no problems not having it, decaf was always fine for me since I swear it doesn't affect me. I could have drank a pot of coffee before bed and gone right to sleep.
They are supposed to be eventually coming out with a caffeine free version.
Here is from a gastric bypass faq site
10. I read that you shouldn't drink carbonated beverages after weight loss surgery. Is this a lifetime restriction? Is it okay if you let them go flat first? We recommend no carbonated beverages. Most patients cannot tolerate the carbonation. Yes, you can drink sugar free soda if you allow it to go flat. What about caffeine? Caffeinated beverages such as coffee and tea should be okay in moderation unless you experience reflux; then caffeine can make this condition worse. Too much of anything, including caffeine, can have side effects. Caffeine is a stimulant, and it can interfere with the absorption of some key nutrients.
