I didn't have to take some of the testing (sleep test), so It might be less time for me. did you have to take extra testing? boy this is quite the process isn't it? I'm ready to rock and roll.  I see you are going with RNY, this is good cause there are so many gilrs on the MAine site to help you out, what a great support system here.  I am leaning toward Lap Band (wish there were more band girls on the Maine board, I've gone to the Lap Band board, but feel like I've made some great friends here.  But no matter what, we all still have alot in common.

I also forgot I had to go through the 6 month weight supervised program with my PCP... This is a great site for support! Kathi G told me about it! IT helped me decide which surgery I would have...reading all the posts...and the ups & downs...it really helps the people who are new. Thank you everyone!! Melissa

My initial consult with Dr. Loggins was July 12th and I had surgery on September 24th. That was 10 weeks ... but I had minimal testing, passed nutritionist in 2 one-on-ones etc. I'm pretty sure I'm the exception to the rule!! :)

summer, 10 weeks is just unreal.  I had min. testing also, and feel really confident about Corinne and 2 visits, but 10 weeks??? yikkkes, I think you win, hehe  I just want to get a jump start on summer and shorts weather. I have a drawer full of summer clothes that are way too tight and I don't want to buy any for this summer.  We live on a lake with a boat, we go on nightly so I pretty much live in a bathing suit (no kidding) I even mow the lawn in a suit.  so this is gonna be an "AWESOME" summer. p.s. did you notice I started and finished with the same word????

I saw Dr. Loggins in August and I spoke to Crystal yesterday and she is preparing my packet to submit to my insurance.  (I had to do 6 months of MD directed weight loss effort)  I am hoping to be approved soon for RNY.

I have Dr. Loggins. My initial consult with him and his staff was in February of last year and I had RNY on July 30,2007 (just 5 months later!) I could of had surgery on July 2ed but was involved in a musical production at the time. I was operated on the day AFTER the show closed!

I started in October (if I remember correctly).  I had 2 one-on-ones with Corrine.  So it was about 4 1/2 months for me.

I have Dr. Loggins, my first appt with him was 2/15/08 and he is hoping, if I can get all of my pre-op done, I can have the surgery in 2 to 3 months.
