wow, I wanted to get one for my little man, but I just can't see to bring myself to spend that much, and then turn around and buy another controller and more games.  He don't have that much money to spend on that, and he might not play with it.   so I'm currious?  why did you get fed up?

I got fed up because I can't get one through regular channels - I could of if I had bought it before Christmas - but I didn't really want to get it until I was losing weight and to use for exercise. Now when a store gets one, it might be on the shelf for a few minutes. I live 45 minutes any direction you go to anywhere that might sell one so to keep checking in the stores isn't feasible. Belfast and it's zoning laws prohibits big box stores.

I was just thinking about those they look like so much fun though you It makes you get into your game. Actually get up and move to play them. The idea is really a great one . I think I will wait til other companies catch onto the idea though.

I here ya - I'm a real exercise-phob, but I love video games - I'm hoping this will get me moving and have fun while I'm doing it.

I assume you are asking about the Wii - not the raging hormones!!! The Wii is an interactive video game system Nintendo came out with a couple of years ago - they is a lot of games that you can play and actually move like you are part of the game, for example bowling - your tv screen acts as the bowling alley and you move about like you are actually throwing the ball.

It's absolutely crazy to get a Wii around here! When they first came out my fiance stood in line for something like 12 hours at Wal Mart to get one and then this Christmas his dad wanted us to get one for his step siblings so we had to stand in line again for about 2 hours to get one. When the man at Best Buy tried to sell us a replacement deal for it I asked him how he could do that since they never have them in and he said that they actually do have them in during other times of the year and it's just Christmas time that gets crazy. I know people at Target told me the same thing. Maybe it's just too close to Christmas still? People who didn't get them are probably still waiting for them and have giftcards to spend etc. I know that doesn't help that you can't get one through normal channels, just trying to guess as to why that is.

I'm sure part of it is a marketing ploy - the other part is they are being bought and resold at jacked up prices on websites such as ebay and amazon
