Stamina InStride Cycle XL

I just ordered a Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL. Has anyone ever used one? They recommended it at my physical therapy appointment a few weeks back for those who have difficulty walking to a point where it is aerobic...and that would be me. First of all I DON"T walk on ice and second of all I don't walk at all...my feet and ankles and legs and hips and but all hurt...excuses excuses I know but they are true nonetheless. I thought this might get me started at least, I can sit in a regular straight backed chair and use it or even put it on my table and use it with my arms to get my heart rate up. At $50 it is cheaper than an exercise bike sturdy enough to carry me. Anyway, I am willing to work at it. I have to start somewhere.

Terry I totally understand, I have arthritis in all my joints.  Although I feel I can handle walking after 30 mins of walking I am limping.  Like I told my Dr.  I need to exercise to loose weight, but need to loose weight to exercise>>>>>  I try once a week to get in a 45 min walk, but that does me no good cause the next day I walk like a duck and have to take 2 days off, so I do my 30 mins.  start slow, and do what your body lets you. even if you break it up to 5/5mins sessions.

Terri, I have issues with pain and walking - so I am currently using one along with a cd designed for people who have issues bearing weight - it's done seated in a straight chair and has programs for strength training before and after surgery.
