My Work Got Cancelled, What Are You Gals Doing Today?

I work for the county of Oxford and my alarm went off and I looked outside and it looks bad out there already. I called dispatch and they said that the county offices are closed today. Yippee a day off paid!!! Now I can't fall back to sleep. Go figure. lol If I had to go to work, I'd be tired and be able to fall back to sleep. lol What do you gals have planned for today? If you're out please drive safe. My hubby has the day off and he's out plowing. The kids have no school so their sleeping in. I'll probably lay around this morning and watch TV. I'm glad we still have power. The news last night said possible outages, I just hope we keep ours. No power makes it very boring for 3 kids who like to play on their computers or watch tv or play video games. I hope everyone has a good day and stay safe! ~dori~

Yes, I have a snow day too, but since I mostly do my work from home, that doesn't change much. It does mean that I don't have to drive into Bangor for a 3 hr class today, so that is good and gives me more time to do the other work I have to do. So I will do my math homework and the online weekly quiz and design two church bulletins and work on a eulogy. And maybe take a break for The View and for Oprah. That's my day...how about the rest of you?

I work for the Bath Schools and we have a snow day today! So I get to be home with the baby! Yippie!

I also have the day off from school.. my hubby took my truck so I am stuck here at home, I am going crazy just being stuck, I have been up since 5 did all my house work, laundry put wood up filled the stove, I cant stand not having my truck, I think I will go out and walk on the tread mill for a hour I tried that yesterday and went 3.3 miles i dont think that is bad?? then when my sister get out of work at 11 hopefully she stops by if not I will go out and snow shoe for a while so if anyone dont hear from me in a few day call for help lost in snow drift some where...lol have great day everyone only can sit at this computer for so long it gets boring,,,,I need a life  Barb

well, as normal, cause I'm home every day, I plan on sanding and painting a little, but since my little man is home today and loves to sleep in (and I mean till noon) I can't make much noise, so beside breakfast, oh, and CNN at 10 am to watch Roger Clemons, and talk with you guys, haha  have a great day, and YES Dori, I agree, NO power outages please!!!

Wow all you gals have so much you can do on a snow day. I feel lazy. I layed in bed and watched tv this morning and fell asleep. I slept til hubby came in from plowing at 11 and asked why I was still in bed. lol It was so quiet. My kids got up and got dressed and ate breakfast and didn't wake me up. It actually felt good. Guess I needed the sleep. As you can see we still have power. Yippeee!!   Hubby says the roads are BAD! We need to go to the grocery store and pick up blueberries for my sons Valentines Day party tomorrow so I hope they aren't to bad. I hope everyone is having a good day and staying safe! ~dori~

Snow days are great, aren't they - something I still love just as much as I did when I was a kid. However, where I work is still open today - thank goodness I'm still on sick leave!!! I'm working on an afghan, I need to use up a bunch of yarn I have to make more room in my closet. I usually donate afghans to an organization - last time I gave a bunch to the Ronald McDonald House, this time I think I'll give them to a hospice. It always amazes me how something that is so simple to me, can mean so much to others.

It is snowing so fast and heavy I cannot see my neighbors house across the road!!  The roads are absolutely horrendous, no visabilty period!!  I am not going back out again today!!  Hope everyone stays home today!!

After snowblowing for an hour I came in to change cuz I was soked to the bone. It's raining here. Took a nap. Got up and called my car dealer to find out my car was ready. Ran over there and picked it up. Have since come home and done 3 loads of laundry and am doing housework. I have 4 days til surgery so am trying to get the heavy stuff done.
