Depressed
I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement...I've had a really bad day and now I can't seem to stop eating. I started out the day with a 1/2 pot of coffee and Wal-Mart's version of crystal light. I didn't eat anything until about 12:40ish when I had about 1/2 cup of turkey keilbasa. I then had diet cocoa and more crystal light. About 4:30 I started feeling light headed and yucky so I began a slim fast low carb shake I blended in 1 tbsp peanut butter, usually very good. About 4 sips in I thought I was going to pass out and spent about 20 minutes over the toilet waiting to throw up (never did). I grabbed for something to eat realizing I had eaten very little...ended up with some tuna & swiss on a pumpernickel wrap. Within minutes I felt fine. Had more crystal light and another diet cocoa. Then it began...a handful of soy trail mix, a beer, another handful of soy trail mix, a borden's stuffed chicken (about 2/3's of it) another handful of trail mix, 2 tbsp of ice cream, & another bit of trail mix. I'm now feeling very full but my mind is so overcome with self cruelty I don't know what to do other than ramble on here and then try to go to bed. I"ve been sitting in front of this stupid computer too much today!!
DH is not home for the weekend...the plowing widow thing I mentioned in another post. My daughter is still awake while my son & nephew (taking care of him overnight) sleep. AUGH!! I don't know what to do...

Steph, don't be so hard on yourself, we have all been where your at, that is why we are here. Today is a new day. Weekends are soo hard, I need a schedule to do good, at ANYTHING, even doing laundry. If I dont bring R to work I am lazy all day. You look awesome but I'm sure everything isn't healed mentally, we will have issues to work on for a long time. Hubby being away is no help. Today is a new day, for me too, I was a bad girl fri night and yesterday. Back to the water . I'll be around all day, we can compaire notes as to how much we've shoveled today. hehe take care cheryl
Hang in there Hon. It takes a while for our brains to catch up to our weight loss. I'm sure we still have old habits for a while. You are accountable for your actions and that's a plus. Think about why you over ate? You didn't eat much during the day and that could be part of it. Are you eating from being lonely? Try to find the root of the behavoir and think of ways you can distract yourself.
Today is a new day a new beginning. Start over and make healthy choices. Eat throughout the day so you don't get overly hungry at once. Pace yourself. Journal if you need to. You'll have a much better day today.
Spring will be here before you know it. Hopefully plowing will be over soon too.
Hang in there. You've done a great job and this is only a small slip. No big deal.

Stephaine,
I understand you feeling like a plow widow. My hubby has his own plow and plows 2 roads of the association we live in and also many of the neighbors driveways and ours and his parents. With his full time job and also plowing it feels like he's never home this winter.
I think because you waited so long in the day to eat that's why your body was reacting the way it did. I know when I skip meals I feel more hungry when I do actually eat. When I have breakfast, then a snack, then lunch, then a snack, then dinner, then a snack before bed I actually eat less. I plan out my meals before hand and always try to get in my liquids between meals or snacks. When I stay on track like that I have no time to graze.
We all have bad days. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just start the next day as a "new" and "better" day. If the grazing continues, try leaving the house for a while (I know it's hard during a snow storm) or try finding something different to do. I usually clean out closets or drawers or dust, when I feel like grazing and can't get away. It helps keep me busy.
I hope today is a better day for you.

I was very lonely, still am and not sure when my husband will be home. I'm feeling low but I'll get through it.
I've had coffe and am now drinking a soy milk - moo magic - protein powder - peanut butter shake! Not sure what lunch will be but I have chicken breast defrosting for dinner.
Thank you all again!

Don't feel so bad. We all have days. I've had a few grazing days lately. It's ok. We're all still learning!
I went to a party last night and ate an egg roll with the sweet sauce! I figured, it was baked... not so bad! DUMMY! You know they're fried before they get baked at your house! That on-the-go bistro veggie eggroll was tiny and very yummy though. I didn't dump - so that's good,. but I ate it without really thinking about it. It happens! I think it's just great that you realized you were doing it!!
TODAY IS A NEW DAY!
I'm sorry that I wasn't here for you last night. I hope that you have stopped beating yourself up, I think you just had a bad day and we are all allowed to have a bad day. Here in Maine like many northern states winter can be tough - especially when you throw in that you husband plows.
It sounded like you are feeling better today from you later post.....take care, ok?
