alternative to crystal light?

Hi everyone, when I went to the nutrition class, I asked for an alternative to aspartame-laden Crystal Light, but I haven't been able to find one. I gave up my Wais****cher Citrus Frost (Loved that!) immediately after the orientation class and started drinking Crystal Light. Needless to say, I am already addicted. But I would really like to find an alternative that does not contain aspartame since I do believe it is very unhealthy. Does anyone here know a good one? I know...water, water, water! But I need something in addition to that. Would appreciate your advice... Thanks..stay warm.

I think I might just make your night!  I know it is not as economical, but the already pre-mixed crystal light (ready to drink) does use splenda instead.  It is the powder mixes that use aspartame.  Apparently they will eventually be switching over, but it is very slow going.  So the newer ready to drink ones (they come in the case--like at BJ's, or in a big multi-serve bottle- probably at the grocery store) use splenda....how excited are you!  I am feeding your addiction huh lol  There is also this stuff called true lemon and true lime.  It is in the baking aisle.  It is little packets that you put in yuor water, tea, or wherever you would use a real lemon or lime.  It is crystallized lemon, 0 calories, 100% all natural, no sweeteners.  I really like it in my water (can you tell I was typing what they had on the box ha ha).

Most of the time I just put a packet of splenda in my water. Just for a little sweetness. I gag if I have to drink plain water. Not sure why but I do.

You've gotten great answers already - but I also drink a lot of decaf iced tea (brewed at home). Sometimes I put the true lemon in it, some times splenda (or both!) It really hits the spot - it's the only thing I've found to take the edge off of my diet pepsi desire! I STILL miss my diet pepsi!!!!

WOAH! Hold on there! I thought that Stevia was the product that the FDC said was no safe and they were going to be banning! Off to google it ....

There is a brand of packet called 4C (I think) that I believe is splenda.  You can find it at Shaws and Hannaford.
