First:  My insurance won't pay for Nutri appt. so ok, I called and asked and they told me each appt. was$25.00, ok, no prob. with max of 5 appt.  so, that being said, I was billed for $250.00 for the nutri. orientation.  Does that sound right. wish they would have told me that when I called.  not that I have a problem paying it, it just would have been nice to include that with the other information. Second: I was told, by whom I don't remember, that support groups were not mandatory, the I see this week that there are 4 mand. support groups????? advice?  I plan on going, just didnt' think I was in a rush, till now. I have Loggins

Hmmm Corrine said the support groups are highly advised but not mandatory. Where did you see the 4 mand support meetings? Maybe I can help. Trying to think I know the New patient orientation is mandatory. The Nut class is mandatory. The Pshyc Eval is mandatory.. Maybe just the one on ones with Corrine would be as well.. I went to a fitness class Corrine gave and she said that the support and fitness meetings are just recommended. Hope that helps.

I have not heard of mandatory support meetings.  I wen to several, but they were optional. As for the nutrition class.  I had an issue with my insurance in the beginnins.  I could have waiting until January to start the process and have them pay, or I self pay and start early (back in Nov.)  When I called the billing at CMMC and asked they told me the cost was $150 total (I am 90% sure that was the total cost).  And in that cost it included up to 5 visits with the nutritionist (which I knew I would not need). My insurance miraculously paid for it though.  I would call again and check on the price.  Also, let them submit it to insurance and see what happens.  I was all prepared to pay and they picked it up.
