why wont ins. pay for VS

was just reading up on different wls and in most cases, insurance won't pay for the sleeve, do you all know why??

I have Cigna and they don't cover it, I am pretty sure it's because it's still considered experimental. Not 100% sure on that though.

Dreamin192 is correct.  In the insurance world it is still considered experimental.  It takes lots of time before insurance companies will cover a procedure.  They are in business to make money...not spend it.  They want to know all the details of procedures and possible complications as well as success rates...just like us.
