It's real--have my surgery bracelet
Well, I just got done my pre-op appointment with Dr. Loggins and my pre-admission testnig. They put my little plastic bracelet on already. Basically said if I took it off we would have to do all the blood tests etc over. So now it really feels real!
Mtg went good, got all my instructions. Not looking forward to the clear liquids a few days before surgery where I feel hungry all the time. Also not looking forward to giving myself shots after!
If you had surgery at CMMC--did you have a family member come right when you went, or a few hours after. I would love the company, but if I will be busy for 2 hours before surgery and they are just waiting in the waiting room for 5 hours I don't want that.
On a side note, Corrine chopped 8 inches off her hair and it looks sooooooo good! Sassy!
Awww You have been banded lol .. Did you get all your stuff yet.. I got all my scripts ahead of time.. Pam is so sweet she was worried bout me and the shots I may have a high pain tolerance BUT I HATE NEEDLES... My wonderful hubby gave me the shots day n night.. Cant wait to see Corrine again I bet she is just too cute. My mom went in the the prep room with me and stayed til the rolled me into surgery. I had to wait quite awhile before my surgery. She stayed at hosp for awhile but not til I was out poor mom has kidney stones that have been bugging her she was hurting so she had to leave .. She helped hubby with kiddos.. I love my family. The liquids were not a real big deal. I even went to a b day party and made out fine.
You are gonna do totally fine
Funny I have a birthday party too that I have to go to while on the clear liquids---it's the cake curse---no more last pieces. I'm not sure if I will have anyone with me while I wait to go in---depends on my moms work schedule. No way would I ever let my hubby bring two babies there---what a nightmare. My hubby might even work Monday if my surgery is in the afternoon (he would be out by the time I was, so he doesn't have to take as many days---he could take one on the other end when I am home. We'll see.
Dropped my scripts off and will get them tomorrow. Wonder what I should have for a last treat---I can't decide. Probably something sweet.
I had my surgery at MMC and the only shots I got were given to me by the nurses in the hospital.
They gave them to me in my thighs. I hated them, they hurt so bad.
I wasn't given any shots to take home.
CMMC must do things differently.
