depressed
Just receive word from my doctor that my thyroid is still to high and I have another test in 4 weeks. Please tell me it will be worth the wait. I've done all that has been asked of me. Now even have the ok from the insurance and still have to wait for a date. All I feel like doing is crying. I know, I'm being a wimp but its been. Ok my goodness maybe I can get myself out of this rut. I'm just tired. Its a great place to vent. Thank you OH for being here. I will update you on my next blood test results. Well I maybe posting more often. It sometimes makes me depressed that everyone is going ahead of me. How silly is that. I'm sorry guys Take care.

You're right, this IS a good place to vent !
It's a healthy thing to do too instead of letting it drag you down. The thyroid is a tricky gland to treat. I know, I was on medication before surgery and Dr. Loggins warned me that I would probably still have to keep taking that medication even after surgery as that is one gland not usually affected. Well, in my case, whatever happened, happened as, at my first visit to my primary care physician after the surgery, I was told that my thyroid levels were fine and that the medication was not longer needed. It even surprised Dr. Loggins.....so.....go figure!
Everyone is different but I know how difficult it can be to wait for something when you want it as much as you do. "Good things come to those who wait" as the saying goes. It will happen in due time and when it does, you will be able to take it all in stride.
Take Care,
Anne

Oh Judy----I know you just wanna suay it sucks big donkey......! Go ahead---shout it out! It does suck! Stinkni thyroid---who needs it anyways.
Okay, I really know nothing about the thyroid gland, but my cousin had hers removed, or killed with some sort of chemical or something after she had a baby. I wish they could just fix yours right up. I can imagine how frustrated you must be---it has been such a long process for you. But keep your chin up---it will be worth the wait!
And you have come so far. You look completley different in your before pic (of Dorothy) than you do now! It is amazing the transformation in your face. And you seemed so chipper at the support meeting---and joking around---try not to let this get you down. Just think---that gives you 4 more weeks for a headstart on exercise and extra weightloss. So when you lose your first 30 pounds in 2 month (or however much it is) you will be even closer to your goal.
I have no idea how much you have lost, but it is very noticeable! Stay positive---I know it is hard.
Whjen I was having my issues with my insurance not wanting me to go to Doc Loggins I was so upset and it felt like the end of the world. I waited a few months and things started rolling once I got that mess out of the way.
Is theer anything you are supposed to do for the thyroid??
Vent all you want - we understand. I'm one of the ones who had some delays along the way and I finally had surgery last week. I know it's of little comfort - but use this time to get yourself in the best health possible for your surgery - it will make a difference. Of course when people told me that I just went "yeah, sure" - but not I'm here it was probably some of the best advise I had. We'll be here for you anytime you need us, Candace
