Crystal just called and let me know I was approved (although I did know that) and then said "How is Monday for surgery the 11th!"  Wowza...that is like----like really soon! I have to get some work done asap!  Lining up the people to watch the babies (works out because hubby has Monday off anyways).  I have my preop meeting tomorrow afternoon and she is calling me with all the pre admission testing times etc. Have of me is WOOHOO--half is---holy canoli I have a lot to do beforehand. I can hardly contain myself!

I won't know what time until Friday.  I wonder who the other person is on Monday??  I wonder if  you usually room with the other bypass patient?

Tanya,       CONGRATULATIONS on getting your surgery date. That will be the date of your "rebirth" as all those who have had the surgery can attest.       Take slow deep breaths and you'll find that things DO get done even when you think there isn't enough time to get it all in. Lisa's right.......being a mother, we seem to get the impossible done and even make it look effortless (even though we may know differently!  ) Just remember that Dr. Loggins, his entire staff, and all of us here will be with you throughout your journey. It's a wonderful journey of self rediscovery too ! There will be times that you'll plateau and /or have a few bumps in the road, but we ALL go through those and come out the other side with a smile!        You will be in my thoughts and my prayers throughout the week as well as on Monday during your surgery. Looking forward to welcoming you (with open arms) to the loser's bench! Anne

Tanya, I am so excited for you!!!!!!!  I want to wish you the best and to remind you not to get yourself too tired out before the surgery.  Being over tired decreases your defense against germs and you do not want to be sick when it is time for your surgery.  Do your best to get your rest and make sure you follow directions as far as eating ect. between now and the surgery.  It will be here before you know it and we will all be rooting for you. Keep us informed. Peggy. P.S. I can say this calmly now but in a month I will be in the same position as you. LOL.
