Well, I met with the Physical Therapist today and also with the group Nutrition Class. I learned a lot and am still feeling really good about
this surgery. That's the good news. The bad news is that I got weighed and have gained back all that I had lost since my diabetes diagnosis. Almost 30 lbs in the last 6 months. I knew I had gained, but not that much. I am at 328.3 on their scale. (I don't have scale because if I do I am obsessed with it. The weight gain was upsetting, since I thought I had been doing better since Christmas. I should have known since my knees are both hurting quite a bit more than usual.

So, I am under instructions to begin to make some changes and try to lose some weight (or at least not gain) before my one-on-one dietitian appointment on March 7th. I am going to cut down on portion size and try to do a little exercise, keep my sugar under control (which I have been doing anyway) and also my fat (which I have not).

I meet with the Psychologist on March 20th and am having the overnight sleep study this coming Sunday night (Feb 3rd). All my appointments were made all at once and sent to me via mail within 1 week of my attending the orientation class last month. I am going to try to figure out how to post my weight now that I am committed to seeing it decrease...will check back in after my sleep study

You're on your way. It does go by quickly. Do what Corinne asks of you and you'll do great. She's going to want to see you moving even if in 10 minute increments and also journal everything you put in your mouth. You'll do great.
