I am a poster child for this show!  And I need YOUR help!!!  Since the show isn't coming to my classroom and hubby's credit card will allow me a few new outfits...I need advice...PLEASE!!!
My birthday is in 3 weeks and hubby is taking me to Boston for the weekend (NO KIDS!) I need 1 casual (think museums and brewery tour) outfit and one slightly dressy outfit (dinner).  I am not scared of color, but not really used to it.  Willing to try new things, I just want to look good for a dinner and date weekend in the city (I am a bit of a bumpkin!)  Go easy on the high heels...I can not do heels over 1-2 inches!)

Let me describe my shape: Linebacker,NFL.
No, not quite, but I have the big upper arms,  wide shoulders, large chest (38DD), no waist definition (35") flabby belly skin (reference:4 kids that I am ditching for the weekend) and narrow hips (36")  I am wearing Size 14 low rise pants and 16-18 shirts.

I am tired of looking mostly fine from the waist down and big boobs and shoulders.  I know I can't change the body in the 3 weeks until my birthday, but I have confidence that someone one will know how to dress the body I have.

Please tell me what to buy so my top will look smaller and my bottom will look more proportinate.

Send pictures, links, suggestions...ANYTHING!!!  Please!!!!

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love you all!

Hi Sheli, Well, I am no fashionista, but I did work in downtown Boston for 30 years with plenty of other fashionistas so here goes. 1) comfortable shoes..they can be dressy but comfortable and black. 2) Black slacks with flared bottoms that aren't too tight. No tapered legs, they will just make you middle and top look bigger. Oprah did a whole show on this. 3) Add a top that you love. Loose and tunic like. In a beautiful color that highlights your beautiful face. If you stick with black slacks and shoes you can buy a couple of tops...one dressier and one more casual. 3) cool earrings Get some ideas for tops (or purchase if you can afford them) at Making it Big.com or silhouettes.com. Greta clothes that run big. Here are the links. http://www.silhouettes.com/Default.asp?MSCSTC=Silhouettes http://www.makingitbig.com/ Above all have fun and you will only have fun if you feel comfortable! ~Black FlyBites
