I have never even been there.  I did a search, found this, added to my favorites and that was it.  I haven't quite figured out how to manuever around.

Oh one of the lurking members of a different surgery copied a sample menu of a RNY post op and basically belittled them and picked them apart... See they can eat more junk without gaining and they feel they are superior... Basically mud slinging... I think the subject was " Since anything goes now"   Oh boy they are just plain nasty to each other.

Every board (except this one!!!) has the constant debate over which surgery is better.  It is annoying and does not help anyone.  Each surgery can be successful for the right person and each can be an utter failure if the patient is not compliant with the required diet of their surgery.   I refuse to say anything about anyone elses surgery anymore because I once said that lap-band would only work for someone willing to be very hungry (I am very hungry!) and work their will-power to the bone (or I will eat the vookies)...someone with another surgery told me how hard she is working, and she didn't say any of it nicely.  (geez- I was only quoting my doctor and all the comparitive information I had seen...)  I never said anything about her surgery (or any other) just gave my take on the band. Now I just sit quietly and hope that everyone finds the right surgery to fix what they need fixed.  If one surgery fit all there would be only one...not the pile of choices we all wade through.  I wish any and all luck!   Silly Mainers, here to support each other and not argue???  Must be the cold winter getting to our heads!!! :) Sheli

Yes, it is so ridiculous!  Don't ever go over to the DS Forum it is even worse! They are so negative!  That is why my profile stays on private.  Someone posted a lovely comment on my blog and my sugery support page.  I had to block a few people. They are just not nice!  This is supposed to be a supporting venue, people!!
