Hey everyone!  I am new at this!  I am in step one..I have gotten my referral from PCP, and I am signed up for first class, I was wondering if anyone had to pay a portion of their co-pay before surgery.??..I was reading on one womans that she had too, I have never heard of anything like this until I read her profile,  but was curious about all of you.  I am hoping to have Dr. Toder....anyone familiar with her policy?

Yeah I have Aetna Hmo as well...is your Hmo or something different?  Did you have any issues with getting approved through them?  It says something about a 6 month diet supervised OR a preoperative plan like with nutritionist and Pysch and all that so im hoping that the bangor program up here covers all that...it mentioned something about behavior modification classes as well..not sure if this program up here with Toder and Clough have that..I will have to find out!  Thanks for your input and warm welcome!

at my job i have blue cross and blue sheild.. i only had to pay the first 700.00 that was my deductable for the year not matter what I had done . so the only thing I had to pay for was first 700 i have never even seen a bill for the surgery because there were so many other things that took up the 700..

I also have Aetna HMO, The program at EMMC took care of everything including the 6 month supervised diet.  I had to see the Nutritionist an extra time.  You will receive a letter with all your scheduled appointments.  You will not meet the surgeon until you have completed all other appointments including your sleep study if you need one.  The only thing I have had to pay so far is my co-pays at each visit. Good Luck!
