6 month check up
I now offically weigh in at,,,,,,,,,,169lbs Dr.Clough was so happy for me, he even told me how proud he was of me and that I was looking very beautiful..I think I blushed..He was glad to hear I was off my cpap machine he asked me about my bowel told him everything great now I can drink protein shakes..He asked me if I wished I never had to the surgery. I told him I would lay right back down and have it done again..He laughed..I asked him about my hot flashes and lack of sex. I told him I use to take premarin. He said his wife takes premarin and that it was good for me. I dont have any orvaries he wanted me to call primary care doc and go back on my premarin..That will take care off the hot flashes and put estrogen back into my system. he said im to young not to want to have sex....
Then I went to see Dana the Nutrish..I weighed 171lbs on there scale not even one hour later they have alway been 2 or 3 lbs heavier..
She was happy I m eating regular food and not so much ravioli..but I have lost more muscle mass down from 75% to 69% I dont understand I am exercising walking 3 miles 5 day week, pissed me off when she told me I am going to have to up it some more. I have already gone from 2.7 on treadmill to 3.5 for 2 miles and doing Leslie Sansone 3 days a week. But I think she got the hint i was mad..Then she asked me what my goal weight was I told her 160 then I said what is your goal weight for me. SHe said what ever your goal weight is is fine with her..I think she wants me thinnner..Oh well I know I am doing a great job and very proud of myself...
When I go back for my 9 month check up I have to breath into this machine for 10 mins. to see how many calories I can have to maintain my wieght. Anyone else had to do that yet?
Well waiting for a call from my primary care doctor with primarin pill hope hot flashes will be gone soon..not so worried about the sex thing as I am about the hot flashes.

You are doing great! I have my 6 month in a few weeks and I am not looking forward to it. I don't do anywhere near as much exercise as you do (I know, shame on me) and I know they are going to be snippy about muscle loss. Anyway, don't let it get you down. It sounds like you are doing wonderfully and whatever weight you are comfortable at is all that matters!
I will answer your first question first,,yes I have had alot of dumping in the begining..today was a day in long time that I had some dumping went to pizza hunt for lunch after seeing dana and had a salad at the salad bar but i ate one bread stick and before I could get across town I really had to go to bath room..diearaha is my dumping if i have any..I do not throw up. dont know what it was other than grease from bread stick. I dont dump alot
I get on a set of scales in my bare feet at Nutrish office it takes my weight and I quess a hole lot more. then we go into her office and she does here calulations ..It really bothers me that I keep losing muscle I dont know what else to do any one got any Ideas?

You said you had been eating a lot of ravioli. I know if you don't get enough protein you will lose muscle. Try to up your protein. It sounds like you're exercing awesome so don't think that is the issue but I bet you could use some more protein.
You must be so psyched about your weight loss. I'm still pre op and can't wait to be a loser too.

oh sorry yes I was eating alot of ravioli but about a month ago i finally could start drinking protein drinks it have been getting in about 60-80 grams a day now..she told me I only needed 60gram and to only do one protein drink aday. I am now able to eat alot of differnet things and she was very happy about that she wasnt happy with my muscle loss at all and said i needed to put my exercise more..but yes i thank you for the reminder..
I am very psyched about my weight loss I cant tell you how much..best thing I have ever done for myself and would do it all over again.,I will would have not done this with out the help of the surgery..it is a tool but a nice tool to have..I am even proud of myself and that takes alot..
