How does one just weigh in once a week... I the type that gets on scales twice a day .. Any suggestions. You would think it would be easier than walking by a nice choc cream pie lol but Its easier for me to walk by foods I like. This will be an extreme challenge.

Whenever I would diet---hck even when I am not I would always step on the scale.  It has become part of my routine and I am sure I won't break the habit.  It's like the first thing I do when I wake up (and because always the lowest weight).  I don't get discouraged at all.  If I am up 2 pounds the next day and I haven't eaten poorly I don't sweat it.  We have so much water weight and it fluctuates so much.  So I know it will be gone soon enough.  I do count Monday's though as a weigh---like it's official.

Since I answered your post on the RNY board, I will share with the folks here. Hi my name is Kathi, and I am a daily scale addict! LOL  I have weighed myself every day since I got home from surgery. It is a sad, I know...but is part of my daily routine now.

I also weigh myself every day, atleast once. It's the first thing I do when I get up in the morning. When I was in California for 2 weeks over Christmas I wasn't able to weigh myself every day and it drove me CRAZY! lol it was the first thing I did when I got home. For me stepping on the scale every day helps a lot, it keeps my weight loss in check and if I lost then great, it's motivation for me to keep going and if I didn't lose then great, more motivation for me to step it up and make sure I am doing things right.
