Welcome to Maine Karen!!! Did you hear from any of the Doc's yet about taking you on for fills?  I know it was one of your concerns.  Glad you didn't let Portland scare you out of the state..it's a different world up in Bangor. Wishing you well in school! :  ) Sheli

Thanks for your replies....I am going to study to become a vet tech....my clinical classes start in the fall, and I will probably take a science and math class for this spring.   I called so many doctors here to see if anyone will take me on, but they have all said no....so I guess I will just travel to Boston...I am from Cape Cod, so manybe I'll make it a longer trip and travel back to the Cape to see everyone too..... I am really loving being here too....everyone is so friendly in this area, and I am hoping to do some outdoor stuff like hiking, camping, etc.  Of course that is all new stuff for me, but that is one of the reasons I had the surgery---I am 47 and I want to spend the last half of my life being active... not today though!!  What is it? Something like 22 degrees below zero...ha!!  Have a good day all....Karen
